COMPETENT PERSON - CERTIFICATION
The International Board of Environmental health and safety is among the rare awarding bodies having systems and arrangements to assess specific occupational skills and certify employees as 'Competent persons.'. The competence person certification is evidence of an individual's skill, knowledge, and experience in their respective trade. The competence person certificates are issued to experienced people after specific training and on-site assessments by IBOEHS-empaneled assessors and auditors. This provision is available for the following trades,

• chemical handling 
• Electrical 
• Machine operations, 
• Waste handling  
• Construction equipment operations  
• Radio Active material handling,
• Excavation 
• Work at height
• Fire warden 
• Banks man 
• Hole watch
• Hazardous waste
•Technician 
•Confined space & H2S
•awareness 
•manual handling
•Power tools 


Employers can request evidence of competence against each individual from IBOEHS  as IBOEHS maintains publically auditable evidence of performance (PAEP)
